Bertie's Story
Bertie is our Vintage Pashley No.33 Ice Cream Bike and was a real workhorse, having been originally purchased by an ice cream company on the West Coast. Back then he came out of the Pashley factory in pure white and was used daily through the summer months over many years up until he was sold to his second owner. It's here he was painted yellow and had been planned to be used as part of the catering team for a motocross event management company. Unfortunately he was never used and instead sat outside under a cover developing a bad case of rust until the decision to sell him on was made.
A New Family
In July 2016 we found Bertie online, seeing through the rust to realise the potential he had with a little bit of time, effort and money spent to get him back to show stopping standards. We quickly snapped him up and just like that the ROTB Family had grown. The following few months were spent stripping him down to nuts and bolts and following a coat of our company mint green, some fresh chrome plating, a dash of Brooks Leather, a new freezer and a lot of help and elbow grease from our friends we were at a point to release Bertie back out into the public domain equipped to make every public event, special occasion, wedding or corporate day that little more special.
